The amazing toddler years! With independence emerging we integrate our empathy and intuitive understanding of children with our thorough knowledge of how they develop.

Whilst an important age for emotional development, this curious and lively group are also keen to take on challenges and develop their physical ability.

Your child will learn everyday skills such as toilet training and independence at meal times, to engage in constant communication with peers and Educators as well as to discuss feelings and develop critical thinking. Every creative gesture provides possible new learning territory that can be picked up and explored.

Our Educator's goal is to always be in tune with your child’s changing requirements.

Pre-kinder Curriculum

g1-toddler

3 - 4 years

This is the time when children move from toddlerhood to childhood. It is a very important period in their emotional development, as your child will really start to understand that their body, mind and emotions belong to them - and they begin to understand that there is a difference between feeling happy, sad, afraid or angry.

Our 3-year-old Kinder program is designed to empower children, build confidence and foster a sense of belonging in their wider community.

Our Educators are continuously reflecting and proactive as they encourage children to co-operatively play and explore new challenges. We set the tone by relating, responding and reassuring to build the necessary trust and personal confidence for children to become explorers and adventurers.

It is our ultimate goal to prepare the next generation to succeed in life. The key to this is teaching children how to think critically and solve problems. Our Kinder program will give your child the best possible preparation not only for school but for life.

With structured teacher-led learning (intentional teaching) and child-initiated play, our Kinder program is integrated across the day and led by degree-qualified early childhood teachers. It is a play-based program, with children participating in regular small group activities.

At Hallam Early Learning, we put every individual child at the heart of what we do – seeking to understand their wider life context and celebrating their uniqueness. Living in today’s rapidly transforming world, our Kinder program seeks to equip your child with resilience and adaptability to develop independent life skills – and to grow in self-confidence and self-identity.
